VehicleLab — Docs & resources
Read the engineering.
Briefs, guides and developer surfaces for every instrument in the suite.
Start with a product brief, go deeper with the MDF4 and calibration guides, or wire MDX into your own pipeline through its API, SDK and MCP server.
- Suite
- 1 suite overview brief
- Calibration
- 3 calibration briefs
- Diagnostics
- 1 diagnostic brief
- Workbench
- 3 measurement & agent briefs
Product briefs
The briefs, by instrument.
Each brief reads as a web page, and comes as a slide-format PDF of 7–12 pages to open in the reader or download for the team.
-

Developers
Build on the instruments.
MDX runs as a desktop app with a local service beside it, so everything the UI can do, a script or an agent can do too. The full API reference ships with the build.
- MDX
Local REST API
Files, channels, signal data, batch analysis and anomaly detection over HTTP at 127.0.0.1:5001, next to the desktop app.
- MDX
Python SDK
The mdx_client package wraps the REST API for scripted analysis, notebooks and CI jobs.
- MDX
MCP server
Twelve tools over stdio and SSE, so Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or Gemini can drive the lab directly.
- XHandbook
build-ehb
A stand-alone tool that turns an A2L plus PDF or HEX into an EHANDBOOK-style container.
